Eligibility & Membership

UWW LICENSES

Per UWW regulations, all competitors are required to have UWW license. 

Wrestlers must purchase their UWW license prior to the 2019 Dave Schultz Memorial International, please bring your personal UWW card or provide the list of athletes of your country at registration. 

UWW Licenses will NOT be sold on-site.  

Wrestlers must purchase a yearly license through USAW for $120. Licenses purchased after November 1, 2018 will be valid through December 31, 2019.

IN ORDER TO PURCHASE LICENSE WRESTLERS WILL HAVE TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING:

1) Annual medical certificate (Click HERE)
2) Digital headshot
3) Copy of U.S. Passport  (NO EXCEPTIONS)
4) Credit Card Info.

ATHLETES CARDS
 
All athletes (except foreign delegates) must be current USA Wrestling members to participate in the 2019 Dave Schultz Memorial International. All United States contestants must present proof of current USA Wrestling Membership Card at registration. USA Wrestling Athlete Membership Cards can be acquired from the State Chairperson or State Membership Director of the contestant's state of residence or online (click HERE). No prequalification required.

 

COACHES CARDS
 
In order to gain floor access, all domestic coaches must have a current USA Wrestling Coaches Membership Card. All USA Wrestling Coaches Membership Cards MUST be attained prior to the event, due to mandatory background checking. For a Coaches Membership Card, please click HERE.

 

AGE REQUIREMENTS
 
Men: Athletes born in 1999 or before are eligible. However, athletes born in 2000-2001 may compete with a written statement from a medical professional, on his/her printed stationery, attesting that the athlete is of sufficient physical and emotional maturity to participate at this level.
 
Women: Athletes born in 1999 or before are eligible. However, athletes born in 2000-2001 may compete with a written statement from a medical professional, on his/her printed stationary, attesting that the athlete is of sufficient physical and emotional maturity to participate at this level.

Transgender Policy

USA Wrestling deems it necessary to ensure, insofar as possible, that transgender athletes are not excluded from the opportunity to participate in wrestling competitions. As such, USA Wrestling’s Gender Policy is based on the results and guidelines of the IOC actions.
